The first thing to note is that Brad Pitt absolutely steals the show in this movie. While you feel like you may have seen every perspective to see of Brad Pitt at this stage in his career, he manages to bring something fresh and fun to this movie. In a movie that has some clich├® tropes, Brad Pitt becomes the comedic icebreaker in almost every scene. You might feel like youŌĆÖre watching an assassin movie similar to Lucky Number Slevin or SmokinŌĆÖ Aces, but once Brad Pitt does his thing he immediately changes that perspective. HeŌĆÖs almost like a cross between goofy stoner, action star, and zen hippie all wrapped in one. While Bullet Train is a fun ride, itŌĆÖs very worth mentioning that itŌĆÖs not for the faint of heart. This is a very, very bloody movie. Anyone who doesnŌĆÖt enjoy violence or gets squeamish at blood should not be watching this movie. The violence doesnŌĆÖt really stop, and if youŌĆÖre a fan of that, youŌĆÖre going to love Bullet Train. The biggest gripe about Bullet Train Āwould be how silly the movie is. It requires a ton of turning off your brain to fully enjoy. There are so many hilariously unrealistic moments that you canŌĆÖt help but unintentionally laugh at. Once you get past that though, the movie is nonstop fun. Some people wonŌĆÖt be able to get past that level of surrealism the movie gives, and thatŌĆÖs okay. Bullet Train Āis one of the most fun and original movies youŌĆÖll see this year. If youŌĆÖre a fan of violent action comedies, this is absolutely the movie for you. ItŌĆÖs worth the price of admission, but for the train, and this movie. Overall Grade: B+
