According to multiple industry insiders, Choi has confirmed to appear in the Kakao TV series, Somehow Country Diary. It is a romance about a vet from Seoul meeting a police officer while living in the remote countryside. Choi Soo Young will play Ahn Ja Young, a fearless policewoman who appears whenever someone needs help. Jang Geun Seok will play Han Ji Yul, a vet working in the townŌĆÖs animal clinic. Somehow Country Diary will be ChoiŌĆÖs next small-screen project after her latest TV series, JTBCŌĆÖs Run On. And it will also be JangŌĆÖs long-awaited drama comeback after being discharged in June last year.
